Quality Circle Competition 2017

Date – 14th April 2017.
Venue – Hotel PLLAZIO, Sector – 29, Gurgaon

Quality circle competition was organised on 14/4/17. In spite of holiday in most of the organisation on the day (14th April) eleven teams participated in the completion. Teams were from manufacturing as well as from service sector. All the teams were given fifteen minutes time to present their case study with the help of Power Point Presentation. Presentations were judged by a panel of three independent judges. All the case studies were excellent however as per the format teams were rated in three categories i.e. Gold, Silver and Bronze and awarded trophy.

Theme – “Global Prospective in Quality” Envisioning the future.
Date –22nd November 2016
Venue – Court Yard by Merriot, Mumbai.

13th Annual Conference was held on 22/11/16 at Court Yard by Merriot , Mumbai. Conference was addressed by experts and practitioner of Quality Management from India as well as from overseas. Dr. Noriaki Kano, Professor Emeritus, Tokyo University of Science and one of the top Gurus of TQM—a living legend—delivered the keynote address. Mr Rohit Saboo of National Engineering Industries, winner of Deming grand Prize and JIPMTPM Excellence Award was awarded the coveted Ashoka Award. Very accomplished professionals from industry such as Mr G. Sunderraman ( Godrej & Boyce) Mr Jitendra Agrawal (HDFC Life Insurance) Mr N. Ramanathan (SRF) and Mr Rajinder Singh ( Mahindra and Mahindra) shared their success stories and enlightened the audience.

Work Shop on “Lean Manufacturing”

Date – 26th August 2016
Venue – Hotel PLLAZIO, Sector 29, Gurgaon.

Work shop on Lean Manufacturing was organised for people working in the area of Production, Production Planning, Production Co ordinator, Quality Assurance, Management representatives and others responsible for planning and co ordination.
Purpose of the work shop was to develop capability to identify, analyse and eliminate wastages for continuous improvement in the Quality, Productivity and profitability of the organisation.
Methodology of work shop was a good mix of Power Point Presentation, Games, Technical Video, Motivational Video and Case studies.

Work Shop on TOPS ( Team Oriented Problem Solving)

Date – 3rd June 2016
Venue – Hotel PLLAZIO, Sector 29, Gurgaon.

Work shop on TOPS (Team Orients Problem Solving) was organised for people working as TQM coordinators, Management Representatives and others responsible for Quality System approach in the organisation. Purpose of the work shop was to develop capability to identify, analyse and find appropriate solutions leading to continuous improvement in quality of all business and manufacturing processes using a team oriented approach. Methodology was through presentation, course and case studies.
Participants were provided with an over view of TQM and its co relation with concept of problem solving, Need for the team approach, Art and Technique of discovering problem and use of Q.C.Tools and Techniques for problem solving.

12th Annual Conference 2015

Theme – Excellence : The Ishikawa way

Date – 11th December 2015.

Venue – Crowne Plaza Hotel, Gurgaon.

ISQ was celebrating birth centenary year of Prof. Ishikawa from 13th July 2015 to 12 th July 2016. Theme for the year and for the conference was “ Excellence: The Ishikawa Way”.12th Annual Conference was held on 11/12/15 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Gurgaon.

To address the conference we could not have any one better than Prof. Narioki Kano, a disciple of Prof. Ishikawa, who has served in leadership roles as a Board Member of the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers(JUSE) and has been a chair person on the international and Japanese Quality Bodies like JUSE, AOTS, ANQ and many more. He is recipient of the Deming Prize for individuals (1997) among a long list of many other prestigious awards.

In addition to Prof. Kano other experts and quality practitioners i.e. Mr Janak Mehta Chairman (TQMI), Mr Ashok Sharam ( President Mahindra and Mahindra) Mr Ramanathan (Advisor TQM SRF) Mr. Kulbhushan Gupta ( Head- Innovation and Service Delivery, MAX Life insurance company) and Mr Amit J.Sharma ( DGM- Process Excellence of Indus Tower) addressed and shared their valuable experience.

All the teams were given fifteen minutes time to present their case study with the help of Power Point Presentation. Presentations were judged by a panel of three independent judges. All the case studies were excellent however as per the format teams were rated in three categories i.e. Gold, Silver and Bronze and awarded trophy. One team was awarded VOX POPULI award.

The International Academy for Quality (IAQ) World Quality Forum 2015 in Budapest, Hungary was held on 26 & 27 October 2015 . The theme of IAQ World Quality Forum is “Quality for Future of the World”. IAQ is an independent, self-supported, non-profit, non-governmental organization that is administered by a collegial assembly of Academicians who have been elected by their peers from the most respected, active and experienced protagonists of quality in the world. The first IAQ World Quality Forum expects participants from all over the world to inform them on the latest development of the quality management, trends, methods and tools

Mr. Janak Mehta (Chair of IAQ),Mr. N. Ramanathan (Former President-ISQ) and Mr. Anil Sachdev – Secretary Indian Society for Quality participated in the confernece.
