Topic:

Restructuring of TQM - JSQC Standards

TQM should be customized flexibly according to the environment of each industry, business category, and organization, and also that should evolve with the times. So far, in the long history, based on the efforts of many organizations, new ways of TQM have been continually presented and TQM itself has been improving and diversifying. On the other hand, because of the diversity, TQM becomes difficult to understand. Then, some people hesitate to introduce TQM, lost the direction in the middle of promotion process and/ or strayed, by emphasizing originality too much the organization fells into a self-styled way that was far from the basics, and it produced harmful effects or diminishing or expanding too much In order to overcome those difficulties for beginners, JSQC has been developing many TQM related standards. This year (2022), JSQC developed a new standard "Guideline for TQM". I would like to introduce this new standard together with overviews of the other JSQC standards, especially Policy Management and Daily Management.
