N. Ramanathan (78) has 55 years of industrial experience, the last 31 being devoted to Quality. He has been associated with thirteen successful Deming Prize challenges in India. He is a co-founder and past President of the Indian Society for Quality (ISQ) and is a Board member of the Asian Network for Quality (ANQ).
As Academician and Board member of the International Academy for Quality (IAQ), he founded its Think Tank on Quality in Planet Earth Concerns in 2015. He is first author of the Quality Manifesto for the Twenty-first Century, adopted by IAQ in 2021, besides nineteen institutions around the world and translated into fourteen languages.
Ramanathan has conducted many training programs. He continues to speak at International conferences and has authored many articles and papers in both academic and lay journals.
Ramanathan has received several Indian and International awards, including the Edwards Medal from the American Society for Quality in 2021 and the Dronacharya Award from ISQ in 2018.
