R G Periaswami is the Head of New Product Development at TVS Motor Company where he combines a customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to quality and process excellence. Known for his meticulous focus on customer needs, Periaswami ensures that each new product aligns closely with market demands, delivering both Attractive Quality as well as Must be Quality beyond customer expectations.

With over 37 years of experience in TVS, Periaswami brings extensive experience in engineering, Quality assurance, product design and customer understanding. His leadership has been pivotal in advancing TVS's capabilities in rapid and innovative product introduction.

With a deep-seated commitment to process-driven results, Periaswami champions a structured approach to product development, leveraging Quality Assurance (QA) tools to maintain high standards across all stages of design and production.

After completing his Mechanical Engineering in 1986, Periaswami pursued his MBA in Marketing and MS in Engineering Business Management in 2004. He is a certified Black Belt in Statistical Quality Control.
