Mrs. Lata Sharat, an alumnus of Sacred Heart Convent School, and a post Graduate in Economics, started her journey in education as a founding teacher at JH TARAPORE SCHOOL in 2002. Her unwavering commitment and exceptional leadership skills led to her appointment as the Principal of the school in 2008.
Under her visionary guidance, the school has grown by leaps and bounds and carved a niche for itself as one of the good schools in Jamshedpur. Under her leadership J.H.Tarapore has achieved remarkable milestones, earning accolades such as the prestigious JJ Irani award for excellence in Education in 2018, the Edu Excellence Gold Award for Co-Scholastic activities and the title of the 2nd Best Girls’ School in Jharkhand by Education World on two occasions.
The school, under her leadership , has partnered with the British schools in Brussels under the UKIERI programme which brought about international exposure and fostered cross learning . The consistence in excellence is further reflected in the International Dimension in Schools Awards under the umbrella of the British Council , which it secured for four consecutive three-year periods from 2012-2025.
Beyond her role within the school, she has contributed significantly to the field of Excellence in Education as a certified TEEP assessor and team leader for more than 12 years. At the National level, her expertise has been recognized by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), as she has been entrusted with the responsibility of inspecting numerous schools for affiliation .
